Alexandre Lima
Alexandre Lima is an architect and urban planner, has master degree in civil engineering, doctoral degree in sustainable development in humid tropic and was a university professor for 22 years. Alexandre is married to Ana Carolina, also an architect and urban planner, and they have two daughters: Sofia and Olivia.
Alexandre has been photographing since he was ten years old, when his grandfather gave him his first camera. He attended several photo courses, but discovered a lot of things on his own. He taught several workshops, from black and white photography to event and social photography, and encouraged many people to look at photography with the same love that he has.
In 2012, he partnered with two other photographers, Igor Silvestre and Davi Silva, and established Shots Photo and Video, which grew to become Take2 Photo and Cinema. He worked a lot, traveled, had fun, but architecture spoke louder. In 2017, he left the partnership and created PossibleIdeas Photo and Video. The need to show and instigate people about the role of architecture and the function of the architect was the fuel for this change.
But only photography wasnt enough. It was necessary to use another language: filmography. In 2018, with two documentaries produced, and many other shortfilms and commercial teasers, PossibleIdeas opened a branch in São Paulo.
His love of imagery, combined with his experience and technical skills, is what makes him stand out from the crowd. The philosophy behind his work is the constant stimulus to improve his art and expand his knowledge. In photo and video there is always something new to learn and he guarantee that there are new lessons every day. That's what keeps Alexandre in constant motion.
